Known for her warm tone and magnetic stage presence, she merges her R&B roots with a deep love for classic Italian music, creating a sound that’s both timeless and refreshingly original. Eager to learn more, we went straight to the source and interviewed Kavinya about her musical journey, her inspirations, and her new project dedicated to iconic Italian divas.

After a specialization course at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, in 2014 she did a major in jazz piano at the Fiesole Music School. Gabriele Mori shares how the band’s name was inspired by Paolo Conte’s “Jazz Monkey Boys,” reflecting the raw, animalistic energy of performance. Before shows, the band fuels up with Italian coffee and embraces the joy of their craft.
