Robin Spriggs is the author of Wondrous Strange: Tales of the Uncanny; Capes & Cowls: Adventures in Wyrd City; The Dracula Poems: A Poetic Encounter with the Lord of Vampires; and nearly 200 short stories and poems that have appeared in a wide variety of anthologies and magazines. His work has received honorable mention in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror and made the preliminary ballot for the Bram Stoker
Award.
In his "other" life, Spriggs is an actor. While his credits on the professional stage include Hamlet, Romeo, and a surfeit of other classic heroes, his on-screen characterizations (as evidenced in such films as Double Threat, I'll Fly Away, and the forthcoming Sinkhole) have proved disturbingly less savory. Protean to a fault, Spriggs has also appeared as the Joker in Time-Warner's live-action Batman Stunt Spectacular and as George Jetson in the official kickoff of Cable TV's Cartoon Network.
Further displaying his teeming inner multitudes*,
Spriggs has worked as a stuntman,
taught drama, directed for the stage, told fortunes, interpreted dreams, removed
curses, channeled interdimensional beings, and served as resident bodyguard in
an establishment that the management euphemistically referred to as a "lingerie
modeling studio." As Magus Magnus of the House of Nine (for which this site is named), he serves as mentor and life coach to a diverse circle of poets, artists, madmen, etc.
Those interested in taking a deeper gander into the life and psyche of Robin Spriggs are hereby escorted to the Parlor.
